Photographing the Summerfield Nurseries Development in Staple, Kent

I recently had the opportunity to photograph a collection of newly built homes at the Summerfield Nurseries development in the village of Staple, Kent. The properties had been professionally dressed for sale, creating a clean, contemporary feel that complemented the modern architecture and finish throughout.

The aim of the photography was to present each property in a bright, inviting and accurate way, allowing prospective buyers to appreciate the layout, space and quality of the homes. Throughout the shoot, I used a combination of carefully balanced natural light and additional studio lighting to produce images that are both true to life and visually appealing. This approach helps create consistent, well-lit photographs while maintaining a natural look and feel.

As well as photographing the interiors, I captured the exterior of each property together with a series of drone images. These aerial photographs provide a wider perspective of the development, showing its layout and attractive rural setting within the Kent countryside.

New build developments present a different set of challenges to photographing occupied homes. The emphasis is on producing clean, consistent imagery that showcases the architecture, room proportions and high standard of finish. Careful composition, accurate colour and controlled lighting all play an important part in creating photographs that give buyers confidence in what they are viewing.
